Paradise Dynasty (Costa Mesa): While neither explicitly nor literally a St. Patrick’s Day affair, the limited-edition xiao long boa collaboration could prove perfect for those who prefer the typically rowdy holiday to be an over-the-shoulder wink. The soup dumpling purveyor has teamed up with Phoholic, Little Saigon’s Michelin-recognized pho spot, to create beef pho xiao long bao. The chefs at the South Coast Plaza spot enrobe Phoholic’s 14-hour beef bone broth and beef in a sea green and white-hued dumpling skin that, in addition to being downright tasty, might make ideal #StPatricksDay fodder for Instagram.
