Quantities are limited, so reserving in advance is strongly encouraged rather than showing up without registering first.
Kits are picked up in person at this event, so plan to swing by during the pickup window before you head out trick-or-treating.
CARE Group works with families across Buena Park every day, and Halloween is one night a year where a small safety boost — being visible in the dark — genuinely matters.
This is a simple way to give families something useful for free and be part of the neighborhood beyond just real estate.

Looking for SoCal pumpkin patches this fall? Here’s a current list of patches, corn mazes, and family fall festivals operating in 2026 — organized by how far you’d actually be driving from Cerritos and Buena Park.
Most SoCal pumpkin patches open the first week of October and run through Halloween, though a few open in mid-to-late September. The closest one to Cerritos is at Los Cerritos Center, about a mile away. For a full farm experience with wagon rides and a corn maze, Irvine Park Railroad and Tanaka Farms are the strongest picks within a half-hour drive.
Hours, dates and prices change every season — and a few of these places have moved. Always check the venue’s own website before you load the car.

Right in the front lot at Los Cerritos Center. Pumpkins, bounce houses, soft play for little ones, and character visits. Mall parking is free; the activities are ticketed. Open October 1–30. Mechanical rides, inflatables, carnival games, a toddler tent and a snack bar. Admission runs about $5 for adults and $3 for kids under 13, with 3-and-under free, and parking is free. Opens October 1. paspumpkinpatch.com
Note: this one moved. For years it was on Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach — it’s now at Lakewood Center Mall. Plenty of older listings still show the Long Beach address.
On La Palma Avenue, run by Taghavi Farms. Petting zoo with mini highland cows and goats, bounce houses, games, hamster water balls, and a paintball range for older kids. Around $5 admission plus $5 parking. Opens October 1. booktaghavi.com
The daytime, family-friendly Halloween event: trick-or-treating, kids’ activities and décor, running select days September 24 through October 31 with park admission. Knott’s events
Don’t mix this up with Knott’s Scary Farm. The nighttime event is a genuinely intense haunt and is not intended for kids under 13. Spooky Farm is the daytime one.
Probably the best pick for younger kids. Train rides, wagon rides, a moon bounce, cookie and pumpkin decorating, panning for gold, and a family-friendly haunted house. The hay maze is free. Tickets run about $8 each or $100 for a book of 15; parking is $3–$7 depending on the day. Reservations are required on select weekends from late September through October 31. A working farm rather than a parking-lot patch. Wagon rides, a barnyard, a u-pick vegetable patch and a pumpkin cannon. Open daily through November 1. tanakafarms.com
Flower fields, a dinosaur-themed corn maze, wagon rides, a barnyard and a kids’ play area. Open Wednesday through Sunday, October 3–November 1. Around $23 midweek and $27 on weekends; parking is free Wednesday and Thursday, $12 on weekends. Hana Field

Not a patch — an illuminated jack-o’-lantern trail with hand-carved giants, running nightly 6–10pm from October 2 to November 1. Timed-entry tickets in advance. Better for slightly older kids who’d rather have atmosphere than a bounce house. descansogardens.org
One day only: Sunday, October 18, 10am–5pm at Juan Bautista de Anza Park. Rides, inflatables, carnival games, crafts, a marketplace and a pumpkin patch. Worth putting on the calendar now since there’s no second chance. cityofcalabasas.com
The full day-trip version: a giant corn maze, rides, petting zoo, animal shows and games, plus a haunted maze for older kids. Open September 17–November 2, though closed on a few scattered September dates. About 55 miles out, so plan a whole day. liveoakcanyon.com
This is the part most pumpkin patch lists get wrong. Several long-running SoCal pumpkin patches aren’t where they used to be:
A few of the dates above came from event calendars and social posts rather than a dated official page — specifically Zoomars and the Buena Park patch. Both are long-running and very likely to run, but call ahead if you’re driving any distance.
Making a weekend of it? More to do around Orange County, and if you’d rather chase fall color than pumpkins, the California fall colors map is worth a look.
Most open the first week of October and run through October 31. A few open earlier — Irvine Park Railroad opens September 12, Knott’s Spooky Farm starts September 24, and Live Oak Canyon opens September 17.
Fallstivities Pumpkin Patch at Los Cerritos Center, roughly a mile away, open October 1–30. Pa’s Pumpkin Patch in Lakewood is about five miles out.
Several have free admission or free parking. The Pumpkin Factory in Santa Ana is free to enter Monday through Thursday, Pumpkin City in Laguna Hills has free parking, and the hay maze at Irvine Park Railroad is free. Rides and activities are usually ticketed separately.
Irvine Park Railroad and Zoomars in San Juan Capistrano are both strong for young children. Closer to home, Fallstivities in Cerritos has soft play and bounce houses aimed at preschoolers.
Hana Field in Costa Mesa, Cal Poly Pomona’s PumpkinFest, and Live Oak Canyon in Redlands. Forneris Farms has run one in past years but does not have a corn maze in 2026.
No. Knott’s Scary Farm is a nighttime haunt not intended for children under 13. The daytime family version is Knott’s Spooky Farm, which runs select days from September 24 through October 31.
