How Do Kids Enter CARE Group’s Free Halloween Coloring Contest in 2026?

Kids Halloween Coloring Contest flyer: grades K-6, win a gift card, enter by October 23

The short answer

CA Real Estate Group (CARE Group) is hosting a free Kids Halloween Coloring Contest for kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade. It’s open to everyone, not just Buena Park families. A parent registers online, downloads the official coloring page, and submits a photo or scan of the finished artwork by Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11:59 PM PDT. Three winners, one per age division, each receive a $50 Amazon gift card. Winners are announced October 27, 2026.

Who can enter the coloring contest?

Any child in Kindergarten through 6th grade, anywhere. You don’t need to live in Buena Park or Cerritos, and you don’t need to be buying or selling a home. It’s completely free.

Entries are judged in three age divisions, so every child competes against kids around the same age:

  • Kindergarten through 2nd grade
  • 3rd and 4th grade
  • 5th and 6th grade

How do you enter? Step by step

  1. A parent or guardian registers on the official contest page.
  2. Download the official 2026 coloring page after registering.
  3. Your child colors it with whatever they like: crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint, glitter.
  4. Scan it or take a clear photo of the finished page. Good light and a flat page help the colors show.
  5. Submit it by uploading it on the website or by email, following the instructions on the contest page.

Deadline: Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11:59 PM PDT. Late entries aren’t eligible.

What are the rules?

  • One entry per child.
  • Your child has to do their own coloring. Parents can cheer them on, but the artwork should be theirs.
  • Only the official 2026 contest coloring page counts.
  • A parent or guardian has to register before downloading the page.
  • Entries submitted after the deadline won’t be counted.

How are winners chosen?

Entries are judged on five things:

  • Creativity
  • Use of color
  • Originality
  • Effort
  • Halloween spirit

One winner is chosen in each age division, three winners in all. Each winner receives a $50 Amazon gift card. If you’re not local enough to pick it up in person, CARE Group will mail it to you.

Winners are announced October 27, 2026.

Tips to help your child’s entry stand out

These come straight from the judging criteria:

  • Give them time. Effort is one of the five criteria. A page colored over a couple of sittings usually shows more care than one rushed in ten minutes.
  • Encourage their own ideas. Originality and creativity count. A purple pumpkin or a rainbow bat is fair game.
  • Fill the page. Backgrounds, shading, and small details all show effort and use of color.
  • Lean into Halloween. Halloween spirit is a criterion. Spooky, silly, or sweet all work.
  • Take a good photo. Use daylight, hold the camera straight above the page, and make sure the whole page is in the frame.

Is CARE Group doing anything else for Halloween?

Yes. CARE Group is also giving away free Halloween Night Survival Kits for trick-or-treat night, with a reflective safety sash for parents, glow bracelets for kids, and treats. Kits are free and open to anyone who can pick one up in person on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Heroes (San Marino) Park, 6200 San Rolando Circle, Buena Park. Quantities are limited, so reserve ahead.

Reserve a Halloween Night Survival Kit.

Why does a real estate team run a coloring contest?

Because CARE Group’s work happens in neighborhoods, and neighborhoods are families. The coloring contest has nothing to do with buying or selling a home. It’s a free, simple way to give kids in Buena Park, Cerritos, and the surrounding Orange County and Los Angeles County communities something fun to look forward to this October, and to show up for the community beyond real estate.
