Looking for SoCal pumpkin patches this fall? Here’s a current list of patches, corn mazes, and family fall festivals operating in 2026 — organized by how far you’d actually be driving from Cerritos and Buena Park.
Quick answer
Most SoCal pumpkin patches open the first week of October and run through Halloween, though a few open in mid-to-late September. The closest one to Cerritos is at Los Cerritos Center, about a mile away. For a full farm experience with wagon rides and a corn maze, Irvine Park Railroad and Tanaka Farms are the strongest picks within a half-hour drive.
Hours, dates and prices change every season — and a few of these places have moved. Always check the venue’s own website before you load the car.

Fallstivities Pumpkin Patch — Cerritos
Right in the front lot at Los Cerritos Center. Pumpkins, bounce houses, soft play for little ones, and character visits. Mall parking is free; the activities are ticketed. Open October 1–30. Pa’s Pumpkin Patch — Lakewood
Mechanical rides, inflatables, carnival games, a toddler tent and a snack bar. Admission runs about $5 for adults and $3 for kids under 13, with 3-and-under free, and parking is free. Opens October 1. paspumpkinpatch.com
Note: this one moved. For years it was on Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach — it’s now at Lakewood Center Mall. Plenty of older listings still show the Long Beach address.
Buena Park Pumpkin Patch — Buena Park
On La Palma Avenue, run by Taghavi Farms. Petting zoo with mini highland cows and goats, bounce houses, games, hamster water balls, and a paintball range for older kids. Around $5 admission plus $5 parking. Opens October 1. booktaghavi.com
Knott’s Spooky Farm — Buena Park
The daytime, family-friendly Halloween event: trick-or-treating, kids’ activities and décor, running select days September 24 through October 31 with park admission. Knott’s events
Don’t mix this up with Knott’s Scary Farm. The nighttime event is a genuinely intense haunt and is not intended for kids under 13. Spooky Farm is the daytime one.
Orange County Pumpkin Patches
Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch — Orange
Probably the best pick for younger kids. Train rides, wagon rides, a moon bounce, cookie and pumpkin decorating, panning for gold, and a family-friendly haunted house. The hay maze is free. Tickets run about $8 each or $100 for a book of 15; parking is $3–$7 depending on the day. Reservations are required on select weekends from late September through October 31. Tanaka Farms — Irvine
A working farm rather than a parking-lot patch. Wagon rides, a barnyard, a u-pick vegetable patch and a pumpkin cannon. Open daily through November 1. tanakafarms.com
Hana Field by Tanaka Farms — Costa Mesa
Flower fields, a dinosaur-themed corn maze, wagon rides, a barnyard and a kids’ play area. Open Wednesday through Sunday, October 3–November 1. Around $23 midweek and $27 on weekends; parking is free Wednesday and Thursday, $12 on weekends. Hana Field
The Pumpkin Factory — Santa Ana

Pumpkin City’s Pumpkin Farm — Laguna Hills
Rides, games, festival food, daily live entertainment and an Oktoberfest beer garden for the grown-ups. Free parking. Open October 1–31 on Vista Grande — not at the old Laguna Hills Mall site, which was demolished in 2023. pumpkincity.com
Pumpkinpalooza at Zoomars — San Juan Capistrano
In the Los Rios historic district. Petting zoo with goats, sheep and guinea pigs, plus a train, gem mining and pumpkins. Around $15, under 2 free, with free street parking. October 1–31, 9am–5pm. Excellent for toddlers. zoomars.com
Los Angeles County and Worth the Drive
Cal Poly Pomona PumpkinFest — Pomona
At the university’s Kellogg Ranch. Corn maze, hay rides, pick-your-own pumpkins, games and agricultural demonstrations. Weekends October 10–31, with a preview night October 8. cpp.edu/pumpkinfestival
Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch — Culver City
A Westside institution. Pumpkin Village, photo moments, live entertainment and a gift shop, with onsite parking. Dog-friendly. Open October 2–31. mrbonespumpkinpatch.com
Carved at Descanso Gardens — La Cañada Flintridge
Not a patch — an illuminated jack-o’-lantern trail with hand-carved giants, running nightly 6–10pm from October 2 to November 1. Timed-entry tickets in advance. Better for slightly older kids who’d rather have atmosphere than a bounce house. descansogardens.org
Calabasas Pumpkin Festival — Calabasas
One day only: Sunday, October 18, 10am–5pm at Juan Bautista de Anza Park. Rides, inflatables, carnival games, crafts, a marketplace and a pumpkin patch. Worth putting on the calendar now since there’s no second chance. cityofcalabasas.com
Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Patch — Redlands
The full day-trip version: a giant corn maze, rides, petting zoo, animal shows and games, plus a haunted maze for older kids. Open September 17–November 2, though closed on a few scattered September dates. About 55 miles out, so plan a whole day. liveoakcanyon.com
Moved, Changed, or Worth Double-Checking in 2026
This is the part most pumpkin patch lists get wrong. Several long-running SoCal pumpkin patches aren’t where they used to be:
- Pa’s Pumpkin Patch moved from Long Beach to Lakewood Center Mall. Old listings still show the Pacific Coast Highway address.
- The Pumpkin Factory lost its Westminster Mall site when that mall closed in October 2025. Its own website still has leftover Westminster pages.
- Pumpkin City is on Vista Grande, not at the former Laguna Hills Mall, which was demolished in 2023.
- Forneris Farms in Mission Hills is open October 3–November 1, but has no corn maze in 2026 and is cash only.
A few of the dates above came from event calendars and social posts rather than a dated official page — specifically Zoomars and the Buena Park patch. Both are long-running and very likely to run, but call ahead if you’re driving any distance.
Tips for Visiting SoCal Pumpkin Patches
- Go on a weekday if you can. Several patches are cheaper Monday through Thursday, and the mall-lot ones are dramatically less crowded.
- Check whether reservations are required. Irvine Park Railroad requires them on select weekends, and they do sell out.
- Bring cash. Some of the farm patches — Forneris especially — don’t take cards.
- Dress for heat. October in Southern California is not October in New England. Sunscreen and water still apply.
- Confirm prices before you go. Several SoCal pumpkin patches route ticketing through third parties and don’t publish a price table.
