What Do You Want to See More of in Buena Park? Events, Local Businesses, and Neighborhood News

Laptop and notebook on a counter in a white kitchen

The short answer

I want to know what you would like to see more of when it comes to Buena Park community events and local businesses, beyond real estate news. Maybe it is city events. Maybe it is the small shop on your corner that more neighbors should know about. Maybe it is something only your street cares about.

This is a question, not a new series. Comment on this post, email us, or call me, and tell me what you want to see. I read every reply and use your answers to decide what to cover next.

Christine Almarines is a top real estate agent in Buena Park and Cerritos helping homeowners sell in Orange County and Los Angeles County. Buena Park is her home market, and she would rather hear from the people who live here than guess.

What do you want to see more of in Buena Park besides real estate?

That is the whole question, and your answer sets the direction. Home prices are one part of living here. The rest is the park on Saturday, the family-run restaurant down the street, and the news that never makes the big outlets.

Here are a few starting points. None of them is a plan yet. They are ideas to react to.

If you care about Something we could look into
Things to do Local events worth putting on your calendar

Neighborhood news What is changing on your street or in your tract
Giving back Benefit drives and volunteer days
Something else You tell us

Which Buena Park events could we cover?

Any kind of local event is on the table, as long as neighbors would want to know about it. Here are the types we are thinking about. Every one is a possibility, not a promise.

  • City events, the gatherings that bring all of Buena Park out
  • Park and school events, from a weekend at the park to a school fundraiser
  • Seasonal and holiday events, the ones families plan around every year
  • Neighborhood events, like yard sales and block gatherings
  • Benefit and volunteer events, where neighbors show up for each other

If you know about an event coming up, tell us what it is, when and where it happens, and who is putting it on. That helps more than you might think.

Which Buena Park businesses should we feature, from small to large?

The ones you would tell a new neighbor about. That might be a corner bakery, a repair shop that treated you right, or a larger business that has been part of Buena Park for years.

A few ground rules, plainly:

  • Nominations come from you. A business owner can nominate their own business too.
  • Permission comes first. Before featuring any business, person, or photo, I ask for permission. No faces or logos are used without it.
  • No paid placement. Coverage is not for sale, and nothing here is advertising.
  • No promises. A nomination is not a guarantee of a feature.

If your favorite spot sits just over the line in Fullerton, Cypress, La Palma, Anaheim, or Cerritos, tell us about that too.

Tell us three things:

  1. The business name
  2. Why neighbors should know about it
  3. How to reach it

What has CARE Group already done in Buena Park?

A couple of neighborhood events, with more ideas waiting on your answers. CA Real Estate Group (CARE Group) is handing out the Halloween Night Survival Kit at Heroes (San Marino) Park, with a reflective safety sash for parents and glow bracelets for kids.

CARE Group is also hosting the South San Tract Yard Sale, a neighborhood-wide yard sale in Buena Park on Saturday, November 14, 2026. One day, one map, and a whole tract out in their driveways at once.

Those are two examples. What would you like more of? More neighborhood events? More local business stories? Tell us.

How do you tell us what you want to see?

Pick whichever way is easiest for you. Each one reaches Christine and her team directly.

  1. Comment on this post with one word: EVENTS, BUSINESSES, or BOTH (or write your own idea in the comment).
  2. Email christine@carealestategroup.com with the subject “Buena Park ideas”, and tell us what you would like to see.
  3. Call Christine at (714) 476-4637.
  4. Book a time to talk: Book a time to talk.

What to tell us:

  • The event or business you have in mind
  • Why it matters to Buena Park
  • When and where it happens (for an event)
  • Whether we may mention it (yes or no)

If you write in, we only contact you about what you asked, and you can ask me to stop at any time.

What happens after you tell us?

I read it. That is the first step every time.

  1. Your reply gets read, start to finish.
  2. I look at which ideas come up most.
  3. Before featuring any business, person, or photo, I ask for permission.
  4. Your answers help decide what we cover next.

There is no set schedule and no promise that every idea becomes a post. What you can count on is that your reply gets read.

Why would a real estate agent cover local events and businesses?

Because my work happens in neighborhoods. A home is the street, the park, the school, and the shop down the block, not only the walls.

Buena Park is my home market. Knowing what is going on here helps me do my job, and sharing it is a way to show up for the city beyond real estate. This is not a sales pitch, and you never need to be buying or selling to take part.

Want to talk it through with Christine?

The easiest way is a short call on your schedule. Bring an idea, a question, or both.

  • Book a time to talk
  • If you ever want the numbers too, the Buena Park market reports are there when you need them.

FAQ

What would you like to see covered in Buena Park?

That is what I am asking you. Tell me which Buena Park community events and local businesses you want to see more of, whether that is city events, small businesses, or neighborhood news.

Can I tell you about my business or an event?

Yes to both. For a business, send the name, why neighbors should know it, and how to reach it. For an event, tell me what it is, when and where it happens, and whether I may mention it. I ask for permission before featuring anything, and coverage is never paid.

Do I have to buy or sell a home to take part?

No. This is about Buena Park, not a transaction.

Will you feature everything we send?

No promise there. I read every reply and use the answers to decide what to cover, and I ask permission before featuring any business, person, or photo.

How do I reach you?

Comment EVENTS, BUSINESSES, or BOTH on this post, email christine@carealestategroup.com, or call me at (714) 476-4637.
